articular chondrocalcinosis medical definition

A disease that is characterized by deposits of calcium hypophosphate crystals in synovial fluid, articular cartilage, and adjacent soft tissue and that produces goutlike attacks of pain and swelling of the involved joints. Also called pseudogout.
