basal-cell nevus syndrome medical definition

An inherited syndrome marked by the presence of numerous basal-cell carcinomas of the skin, cysts of the jawbones, erythematous pitting of the palms and soles, and often skeletal anomalies. Also called Gorlin's syndrome.
