thymic corpuscle medical definition

Any of numerous small spherical bodies found in the medulla of the lobules of the thymus, composed of keratinized, usually squamous, epithelial cells arranged around clusters of degenerating lymphocytes, eosinophils, and macrophages. Also called Hassall's concentric corpuscle.
